Ok, first I need to prefix this statement by saying tonight's low is going to be 14 and tomorrow's high is going to be 31. Whatever happened to Global Warming? Did Al Gore lie to us?
But, the freezing temperatures aren't exactly what this post is about. Yes, that's the first thing people think of when they hear "winter" -- that and "snow".
But, oddly, neither of those are the first thing that comes to my mind when I think "winter". It's "OW!"
As most of my four readers know, I lived in MA for approximately 8 years of my life. I walked to school up hills both ways in the snow. Yes, the cold is horrible, but to me it's not the worst part of winter.
Getting zapped at EVERY metal object I touch. Let me tell you, it gets OLD quick. Doorknob, zap. Coat rack, zap. Faucet, zap. It's not fair. After about a month, I feel like I'm in one of those experiments to see if I'll still touch things even though I KNOW I'll be shocked.
And, no, it's not me that needs to moisturize more or something. I've been known to get zapped freshly out of the shower
So, if you see me jump for what appears to be no reason, or if I accidentally shock you when coming in contact with you, I pre-apologize!
